Training sessions are currently 3 times a week.  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, meeting at 6.45pm for a 7pm start.

Majority of sessions start from the Frank Myler Pavilion on Liverpool Road, Widnes, WA8 7EY.  For a Track session the meeting point is St. Peter & Paul’s Catholic High School, Highfield Road, Widnes, WA8 7DW.  Further up to date information can be found on the Widnes Running Club Facebook page or on Twitter @WidnesRC.

These sessions vary but there is a general plan which we follow each week. This consists of:

Tuesday
An Interval Session - Suitable for all runners, capable of running for about 30 minutes.

Wednesday
These sessions alternate between a track session and a muster run. Dependant on the time of year- Both sessions last for about an hour - Suitable for all runners, capable of running for about 30 minutes or more.

Thursday 
There are usually three groups differentiating for pace and distance. All 3 groups run for approximately an hour.

Training
